  • Support POC small business
  • Write letters to your senator and representatives. They say calling is the most effective way to influence them.
  • Sign petitions.
  • Vote! I mean, you'd better be voting.
  • Volunteer to work in POC communities and schools.
  • How diverse is your circle of friends? Make new friends of different nationality and backgrounds than yours.
  • Donate to bail funds for protesters.
  • Educate yourself and have a honest self talk (remember, your kids are watching AND listening).
  • Talk with your kids about realities of privilege, racism and brutality. Here is a list of books to support conversations on race, racism and resistance.
  • Support diversity non profits such as Humanize My Hoodie, Project Enye or 8 can't wait to end police violence. You can find more charities here.
  • Schedule a play date with a black mom or have her over for coffee.
  • Apologize! When you know you screw it up, and it wasn't intentional, a honest apology will be welcomed.

We can all do our part to shoe love in our own communities. Find what works for you and, most importantly, TAKE ACTION NOW!
