We are inviting you to be part of the solution.
Many people in developing countries like Mexico are day laborers. The closed down of all non-essential businesses due to COVID-19 is leaving so many people out of work. Wobbly Waddlers shoes started as a people company, supporting traditional shoe manufacture as a way of contributing to sustainable job creation. Unfortunately, our partner factories are also closed leaving our people with no source of income and unable to cover the basic needs.
Now we are temporarily changing gears from shoe-making to making non medical face masks as a way to give back jobs to those who lost them, supporting our small business and delivering food and basic items to families in need.
Because we, the human race, are all in this together. This virus has shown us that it doesn’t know about nationalities, race, sex, age or social class. We belong to each other. That’s why we are inviting you to become part of the solution.

A little behind the scenes:
Because this is a completely new product it took us about a month and a half to figure it out. We have been working full gear with our soul and heart to make this happen. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the help of my family in Mexico: my parents who were coordinating all the logistics, my brother who took care of the photography, my cousin in Guanajuato who was creating the patterns and looking for fabrics, my beautiful nieces and cousin who were the models for the photo shoot.
All this project was made thinking to have everyone safe, so it was made under lock down in the house of each person who contributed with the creation of this product, no factory and absolutely no mass produced. If you like the quality of our shoes, I promise you’ll love these face mask.
Mask Disclaimer:
CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings. These facemasks are not a replacement for a medical grade mask in circumstances where special equipment is required. The decision to use this mask is solely your own.
The use of face mask is just one of the recommendations by the CDC. By wearing your face mask you still need to do a social distancing minimum remaining at least 6 feet away from others, washing your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds or use alcohol at 70% and refraining to touch your face.
Cloth Face coverings SHOULD NOT be placed on young children under 2 years old, or anyone who has trouble breathing, unconscious, incapacitated or unable to remove the mask without assistance.
Some Common Questions
Q: Why is CDC recommending cloth face masks instead of medical grade masks?
A: Surgical masks and N95 respirators are in short supply and should be reserved for healthcare workers or other medical first responders, as recommended by CDC guidance.
Q: Do I need to wear a mask everywhere?
A:The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends almost everyone wear a face covering, or mask, in public places like grocery stores, pharmacies and other places where it is hard to stay 6 feet apart from other people.
Q: How can I make wearing a cloth mask more comfortable?
Wearing a mask is not something most of us are used to doing. Make sure you are doing it correctly so that you get the best protection. This means you should not slip your mask off your nose, or down around your chin. To work, the mask needs to cover your nose and mouth.
Just as important — when wearing the mask, try not to touch it. When you have to touch it – to remove it, for example – wash your hands with soap and water after. When you use your cloth mask, make sure you’re washing the mask after each use.
Q: Will a cloth mask protect me?
A: The main reason for wearing a cloth mask is to protect other people. If you are wearing a cloth mask over your mouth and nose and you cough or sneeze, the mask can catch respiratory droplets and keep them from landing on other people.
If you are wearing a mask and someone next to you coughs or sneezes, their respiratory droplets would hit your mask instead of your mouth! But, it is very important for you to not touch the front of your mask. And if you do forget and touch the front of your mask, just make sure you wash your hands right away.
The cloth masks also keep you from inadvertently touching your mouth or nose with unwashed hands.
Q: Do I still need to stay at least 6 feet away from people if wearing a cloth mask?
A:Yes. Wearing cloth face coverings is an additional public health measure people should take to reduce the spread of COVID-19. CDC still recommends that you stay at least 6 feet away from other people (social distancing), frequent hand cleaning and other everyday preventive actions. A cloth face covering is not intended to protect the wearer, but it may prevent the spread of virus from the wearer to others. This would be especially important if someone is infected but does not have symptoms. View CDC’s guidance on how to protect yourself.
Q:Who should not wear cloth face coverings?
A: Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children younger than 2 years of age, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cover without assistance.
